Intesis introduces a new gateway forits Intesis KNX line of products. The gateway allows the integration of BACnet server devices into KNX installations.

Solution:

This Intesis gateway acts as a client in the BACnet side, allowing KNX devices to read and write on all configured BACnet Objects mapped to KNX communication objects.

KNX devices are connected directly to the TP-1 interface of the gateway. On the BACnet side, the gateway simulates a BACnet IP client or BACnet master MSTP device.

With the new BACnet Explorer feature it is easy to find connected BACnet IP or MSTP devices and create a project within few minutes. Also, it is possible to import BACnet EDE files providing more flexibility to the gateway.

Like all new generation gateways it is also possible to retrieve the project stored in the gateway in case it is necessary.

How it works?

Once set up, the gateway acts as a KNX standard device in its KNX interface, allowing other devices in the installation reading or writing its internal communication objects. These KNX communication objects provide control of the BACnet server devices connected to Intesis.
