IntesisBox BAC-1 series ensure full interoperability support to the integrator and the propriety thanks to the BTL Mark.

Air Conditioning integrations in BACnet are usually related with big projects. Nonetheless, after some years in the market, BACnet is becoming more popular and integrators are interested in its benefits for small and medium projects too.

It is very common to use the BACnet IP gateways provided directly by the AC Manufacturers when dealing with an HVAC project with VRF units, but this solution can’t be used in small or medium projects due to:

  • AC Manufacturer BACnet gateways are too expensive
  • MSTP topology shall be used, but these gateways are only IP
  • AC units installed are single units (Domestic or Comercial, not VRF)
  • For security reasons, it is better to use single gateways instead of a central gateway (Distributed Systems)

IntesisBox offers a large range of BACnet gateways to integrate single direct expansion AC units for the most popular AC brands. IntesisBox BAC-1 gateways are IP or MSTP and offer all the necessary BACnet objects to integrate the AC units in your project, including not only ON/OFF, Mode, Set Point, Room Temp. or Fan Speed, but Error signal and Error codes, LockRemote, and OnTimeCounter too.

Working in BACnet MSTP mode, the BAC-1 gateway can be configured in the field using the DIP-SW without requiring any PC.

For BACnet IP, the gateway provides an embedded Web Page to be able to setup all the necessary parameters. In addition, the Web Page provides a useful signal viewer that allows to read and write all the communication objects helping testing both control sides: the AC unit and the BACnet.

Finally, IntesisBox BAC-1 series ensure full interoperability support to the integrator and the propriety thanks to the BTL Mark.
