New features available on the Mitsubishi Electric to BACnet MSTP Interface

by Intesis by HMS Networks | Apr 12, 2023
Intesis has officially launched its redesigned Mitsubishi Electric to BACnet MSTP Interface. This new interface allows for fully bi-directional communication between Mitsubishi Electric Domestic, Mr.Slim, and City Multi Air Conditioner units - and BACnet MSTP networks.

The new feature included in this version is its support for silent mode and horizontal vanes control. The silent mode allows for quiet operation of the AC unit, making it ideal for environments where noise levels must be kept to a minimum. The horizontal vanes control allows for precise direction of airflow, which can be especially beneficial in commercial settings. Now with Intesis gateways, it will be possible to integrate them within the BMS, as with any other variable.

A significant advantage of this product is that it is fully interoperable with other BACnet devices, which is confirmed by the BTL mark. This means that users can be confident that their AC units will work seamlessly with other BACnet devices, ensuring a fully integrated and efficient building automation system. Additionally, this interface does not require external power, making it a cost-effective solution for any project type.

It provides total control and monitoring of the AC unit from BACnet MSTP, including the AC unit’s internal variables, running hours counter (for filter maintenance control), and error indication. This level of control and monitoring allows building managers to optimize the performance of their HVAC systems and ensure they are running efficiently
